Auckland’s Ara Lodge in Airedale Street is New Zealand’s oldest Masonic Lodge, formed in 1842 by some of our most important historical colonial figures.
2017 marks the 175 anniversary of our opening and we will be celebrating our remarkable history with a series of special events and visitations.
Ara Lodge is more formally known as Ara 348 Irish Constitution, in testament to our ties to Ireland and the UK.
We welcome new members and encourage anyone with an interest in learning about Masonic traditions to make contact.
We also welcome fellow brothers to our monthly meetings, held on the first Monday of each month at 7pm. Check our events schedule for more details.
