Charitable Trust
Throughout our 175+ year history in Auckland, ARA Lodge has been involved in charitable giving, with a particular emphasis on supporting widows and orphans, as well as the performing and visual arts.
Since 1975, over NZ$4,000,000 has been donated to medical causes (such as Starship Hospital) and over the past 12 years, more than NZ$300,000 has also been gifted to top secondary school art students.
Community Projects
Current community projects include:
- ARA Music Awards (in conjunction with the Auckland Primary Principals Association) – to recognise and reward outstanding young New Zealand musicians
- ARA Art Awards – to help support talented young New Zealander’s in their fine art tertiary education
- St John NZ Ltd – a special donation of $175,000 to mark our 175th Anniversary in 2017.
